My Usrah Budi sessions this semester #8

Salam and hey!

Continuing on from my last post....

Due to the pandemic, we still have to attend our classes online and there were various ways done by other lecturers for it. Some do pre-recorded videos, some do online classes and record them and many other ways.

At first, I was hoping for our usrah budi sessions to be virtual classes but the internet connection for a lot of us was unhelpful.

I did not expect that our sessions through the Whatsapp would actually turn out better than I expected.

I was able to get involved in the session better and share my ideas more thoroughly too.
However, I did not really like how our attendance was taken. I was pretty sad when my name was not included in the list of attendance after I have already wrote it in. *lol*

Anyways, the usrah budi sessions we had was truly helpful. It gave me a sense of re-connection to my deen which I feel like it was long needed.

I was also able to recall a lot of the things I used to learn and refresh my memories. I am truly grateful to have been able to learn from the naqibah and she gave us a lot of insights with clear and thorough explanations.

I was pretty baffled with the idea that this semester's usrah was gonna be carried out without seeing other people's faces. But I guess it was fun because whatever we shared was entirely just our knowledge and opinions.

Our group assessment was pretty hard for me since I did not have any friends that I was close with. I am glad that my groupmates were able to include me in even with the fact that I was an odd-one out of their friend group.

It was also challenging when I could not attend the discussion because of internet and time restrictions. In the end, we were able to come out with our group's posters but I wish we could have done it together which could only be possible if we were able to meet up in real life.

Our role play is mostly focused on the rights of neighbours from the Islamic perspective. Here is the poster and please take some time to read it if you can!

So what do you think of it?

I think that is all for now. Thanks for reading!
