My first live on tv interview on Yoga during Ramadhan #4

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

My dad was the one who took this hehe

Assalamualaikum w.b.t.

Towards the end of May last year, I received a direct message on my Instagram from a TV show crew. It was around 5 pm that day and I was home alone. The message was (sort of like this),

“Hi Miss Fatimah. I am ….. from …. Would like to invite you to appear in our Sihat & Steady segment for the Feel Good Show tomorrow morning for Yoga in Ramadan. Below are the details….”

I was…completely in disbelief. I called my mom and sister to get confirmation and assist for it since the studio was in Shah Alam. I have a sister from Kuala Lumpur and of course she was the most reliable to accompany me. Alhamdulillah, everything felt good (literally) and I took the 8pm bus from Johor Bahru. I arrived around 1-2 am and before sleep, my sister helped me a lot on points that I could talk about on the show.

People who are close to me would know that I have always been a spontaneous speaker and I dislike scripted things. But, that night, I realized how I have to plan my points and words properly. Thankfully, the one who invited me gave me an example script for me to refer.

Both my sister and I woke up quite early. Around 4.30 - 5 am like that since she called a makeup artist for me and it would take around 1.5 hours for me to get ready. We were planning to set off around 6.30 a.m. so that we could arrive at 7.30 a.m. all the way from Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Alhamdulillah, both my sister and I arrived at the NTV7 Glenmarie Studio on time. I almost felt like everything was a dream. Still could not comprehend that I was going to be live on national television.
I was motivated and felt really loved when some of my family, friends and acquaintances were patiently waiting for me on TV. Keep in mind that everyone including me did not know when I was about to go on screen.
Before the real live session, the host, Nana Al-Haleq came to me and talked to me. OMG fan girl moment! She was so pretty…her photos and videos on Instagram have not done any justice to her. I could not believe my eyes that I shook hands with her and talked to her. Of course, I was struggling to find words.

Before I knew it, it was my time to get ready on the spot for the live show. OMG I became totally shy and I couldn’t help but to realize how my legs were unrelaxed (shaking but you may would not notice).

Alhamdulillah, the interview and the demonstration went well. I honestly believe that accomplishing things from the heart is the best and that is what I did. Everything that I poured into the interview, the tips I gave, was all from my heart, lillahita’ala.
Massive love to the crew who invited me, Kak Rabihah…the awesome studio crew, and the producer too. She had a BIGO live session and I received heaps of followers on my Instagram afterwards.
What touched my heart was many personally messaged me to tell me how they are inspired from what I have said and wanted to start learning too. I was overwhelmed since I had no idea how to respond to such things.
If you want to catch up with my interview, you can log on to my Youtube channel: Fatimah Zahra
and I even made a vlog about it!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in this experience. Especially to my sister. She has been super supportive and caring for me since Day 1.
Allah sahaja yang dapat balas jasa-jasa Kak Yam. X

My dearest salam to you,
Fatimah.
